What should I expect when I visit or attend STC?
You and your family can expect a warm welcome with a relevant and genuine experience with the Lord.
What will my first visit be like?
Probably "not church as usual", depending on your church or religious background or past experiences. Our services do not run a specific length of time. Our heart is to let God be God. Sometimes our services run an hour to an hour and a half. Other times if God is moving on hearts and we choose to not quench the Spirit our service could run longer. Sometimes we are just having incredible worship and prayer and we just dont want to go home yet. Never feel obligated to stay till the end if you have some place to be or your just ready to go.
The apostle Paul said that he comes not with eloquence of speech but with a demonstration of the Spirits power. God said to let His house be called a house of prayer.
To us Church is more than three hymns and a 20 minute sermon. We more than believe in prayer, but we pray together in Gods house. We do more than sing songs to the Lord, but we worship from our hearts.
Jesus said "you will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart"
Our hope is that your visit to STC will be a refreshing, God-filled experience.
Our atmosphere is casual and laid back, so feel free to wear jeans. Feel free to worship in Spirit and in Truth. We do not excpect everyone to worship the same, one may lift hands, another might cry or laugh, or even dance. Our challenge to you is for you to give yourself to God wholly, and let God be God.
Psalms 134:2 "Lift up your hands in the Sanctuary and Praise the Lord."
Stick around and hang out at the The Loft Cafe' while you enjoy a cup of house coffee on us for your first visit or buy a speciality coffee or tea. All procedes from the Cafe' go to support Home and Foreign Missions, seeing souls saved around the globe.
And dont forget to meet some new friends.
